Last night saw Argentina beat Bosnia Herzegovina 2-1 at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro and saw Lionel Messi score his second World Cup goal for his country in his career.
The Argentines got off to a perfect start through Sead Kolasinac’s own goal in the third minute to take them 1-0 up against Bosnia Herzegovina. Then in the 65th minute Messi struck with a great shot that bounced the ball perfectly off the inside of the post and into the goal, taking them up to 2-0. In the 85th minute, a goal by Vedad Ibisevic confirmed that Bosnia Herzegovina were not to be underestimated, but Argentina held firm and went on to win.
Argentina next face Iran at the Estadio Mineirao in Belo Horizonte.
