Argentina and Barcelona football star, Lionel Messi, will be out of action for two to three weeks after suffering a thigh injury. This means the captain will miss his nation’s latest World Cup qualifying clashes.
Messi has pulled a right thigh muscle, and due to the necessary rest period it has put Messi out of contention for Argentina’s home game against Peru on October 11, as well as the visit to Montevideo four days later to take on Uruguay.
The 26-year-old forward suffered the thigh injury over the weekend playing for Barcelona.
