Hundreds of thousand of people crowded Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro today to hear the Pope’s final mass of his visit to Brazil.
Rio’s famed Copacabana beach, usually known for its scantily-clan sen seekers and revelry, took on a more serious role as Pope Francis concluded the youth festival by urging young people to go forth and build a new world.
Organisers estimated that more than 3 million people joined the festive crowd to see the Argentine pope on the final day of his week-long trip.
